Rex's Journey:

Rex’s life is a narrative of service, sacrifice, and unwavering faith in God. Born in West Valley, Utah, his formative years were shaped by the values of honor, loyalty, and duty.

Rex graduated from Brighton High School in 1998, and then answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the US Army. His Army career lasted over 18 years during which time he deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq 5 times, became commissioned as an engineer officer, and completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. His military service underscored his bravery and commitment to serving a cause greater than himself. It also solidified his faith and trust in God.

During Rex’s time in the military, his first son, Asher, was born in 2009. Rex and his ex-wife later became foster parents and eventually adopted their second child, Abby, in 2016 when she was almost 2 years old. Rex recognizes Abby’s adoption as the crowning event during that period in his life. Shortly after Abby’s adoption, they were blessed with the news that their third child, Olivia, was now ready to finally join their family. Olivia was born in 2017.

After retiring from the Army in 2016, Rex transitioned to civilian life, embracing new challenges with resilience and determination. It was during this time that he encountered personal trials, including navigating a divorce that marked a difficult period in his life. Despite the turmoil, Rex’s faith, resilience, and determination remained steadfast.

In time his journey led him to South Jordan, UT, where he currently works as a Project Manager for an industrial manufacturing company. Rex ultimately found love and companionship with Chelsea through what he deems a series of miraculous events. Together, Chelsea and Rex’s journey is one of love, faith, and unwavering commitment. Navigating life’s challenges with courage and grace, they stand as a testament to the power of love, family, and the enduring bonds that unite us all.
